Adam had two sons named John Jacob, one born 23 Jan. 1766, in Monocacy, Frederick Co., MD, and one born 1 August 1772 in Monocacy. Presumably the first one died. In accordance with German naming customs, John Jacob Binkley would have been called Jacob.
It is this Jacob Binkley, b. 1772, who was the father of James Binkley of Davidson Co., TN. To the best of my knowledge, his wife is unknown. Their children were James, b. 1797, m. Lucinda Smith; Henry, b. abt. 1800, m. Mary ?; William, b. abt. 1804, m. Elizabeth Smith; Lavina, b. abt. 1811, m. Caleb Keeler; George C. Binkley, b. abt. 1812, never married; David S. Binkley, b. abt. 1813, m. (1) Huldy Durard and (2) Priscilla Nabours; Jacob J. Binkley, b. abt. 1814, married Sarah Lee; and Mollie, date of birth unknown, m. Lemuel Morris.
