Notes:

In my research, I have much info on both Elisha and Jesse GARLAND, believe to be brothers. Before they came to Davidson Co, TN (Elisha by 1796 and Jesse by 1810) they are living in Pendleton Co, SC. They both show up in the 1790 census for that county. And they are listed as jurors in that county for 1790. There are several deeds for both Elisha and Jesse in that county that I have not rec'd yet.
GARLAND, Elisha. b. in 1763 and died in 1837. He was born in Halifax Co., NC and lived in Davidson County, TN, outside of Nashville. During the Revolutionary War, Elisha enlisted as private at the age of 14 in the 3rd Regiment of the North Carolina Continental Line. He married Lucy Reeves on 12/14/1783. Lucy was the sister of Charlotte REEVES ROBERTSON, wife of James ROBERTSON, founder of Nashville. Elisha married Lucy REEVES on 14 Dec 1783 in Tennessee. Lucy (daughter of George REEVES (RIVES) and Mary Charlotte JORDAN) was born on 9 Feb 1763 in Northampton County, North Carolina; died on 30 Sep 1844 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

3. Lucy GARLAND was born in 1789 in South Carolina; and died.

6. Jesse GARLAND was born on 28 May 1795 in North Carolina; and died.
7. Kitty GARLAND was born in 1798 in Tennessee; and died.
8. Delilah GARLAND was born in Mar 1798; died in 1870.
9. Mary "Polly" GARLAND was born on 16 Aug 1803; died about 1838.
10. Martha GARLAND was born on 26 Apr 1806 in Tennessee; died after 1880.
11. Orville Henderson GARLAND was born on 26 Apr 1806; and died.
