  Julius was born in 1860. He was the son of Ludwig Lawrenz and Dorothea Gustke. He passed away in 1939. Julius immigrated through New York in 1876. He married Eva Margaret Heublein in Aroma, Kansas in 1884. Together they had 10 children. Julius J. Lawrence, age 69, citizen 1876, born in Germany Eva M., Wife, age 56, citizen in 1886, born in Germany Frieda, daughter, age 18 born in Kansas Edward, Son, age 16, born in Kansas Albert, son, age 14, born in Kansas Living Nearby: John Lawrence, age 21 as head of household Have copy of Marriage License issued 2 July 1884. Have a copy of Name Change Application to Lawrence. Have a copy of Obituary from newspaper as "well known resident of Nashville" J.J. Lawrence. Was originally a meat cutter until 1880 when he went to work in silver mines in Colorado. Returned to Kansas and bought a farm of his own and married Eva in 1884.
