Notes - In an article in the William and Mary College Quarterly Historical
Magazine of April, 1922, relative to the acceptance by Fairfax County,
VA, of a portrait of George JOHNSTON to hang in the courthouse, the
statement is made concerning JOHNSTON "In the deed books are conveyances
of land with thich he was connected. The will books contain his last
will and testament, written in 1766 within a few months of his
death....the will books also contain the inventory of his estate..."
