Notes - He [John Gray or Grey] married Joan, elder daughter and coheir of Sir Edward CHERLETON, of POWiS, co. Montgomery (LORD CHERLETON], by his 1st wife, Alianore, sister and coheir of Edmund, EARL OF KENT, and eldest daughter of Thomas (DE HOLAND), EARL OF KENT. He was killed at the battle of Baugé in Anjou, 22 March 1420/1. On 20 July 1422 his widow had ivery of her purparty of her father's lands. She died 17 September 1425.
