No further information Abner J. farmed north and West of Doniphan, MO !Jerry Ponder notes in his Ponder family history that little is known about Abner Jefferson's activities although from deeds in Tenn and MO, it has been established that he was a partner with his brother, Amos, in several land deals. Abner Jefferson could not read or write. He had two children. He moved to Ripley Co, MO, probably at the same time as Amos and in MS lived in the Amos Ponder household.
