  John Bickmore, son of John Bickmore, was a soldier in the R evolutionaryWar. He joined in January 1776 in Capt. Fullers Co. He served untildischarged for sickness. He was awarded a soldiers pension on April 28,1818. In his Rev War pension application, John stated he was bFriendship, now residing in Unity, ME. (Rev War pension #S37590). He wasdischarged at Mount Independence, Lake Champlain NY but was unable toreturn to Friendship until 1777 due to poor health.His wife Esther, herson Daniel McFarland and grson Samuel lived with him.
