They had at least 3 children.
Shortly before his death, Major Lawrence Smith made a deed of gift to his son Charles, probably following the custom of providing for a son at the time of his marriage. Witnesses to the deed were Thomas Peyton, son of Major Robert Peyton; Colonel PETER BEVERLY, husband of Elizabeth Peyton, sister of Thomas Peyton, and sister of Charles Smith's wife, Dorothy Peyton.
