  Made a will in 1586, recorded in the "History of the Town of Kettering, England." ("A in A" pg 6) "Seems to have been the founder of the family at Kettering...sons William, Richard, and Edmund Alderman, daughters Annes, Christian, and Elizabeth Alderman, and brothers Thomas and John Alderman...A letter from Wesley F. Russell, Woodside, NY,...reads: 'No trace of the family name is found in Kettering after the above incident. I believe that William, Richard, and Edmund were most certainly in the will...It sounds plausible if we assume that the family came to America, as this would account for their disappearance from Kettering.'"
