- BIOGRAPHY: The Bissell family lived in Lincolnshire, England with children Mary, John Jr., and Thomas. They emigrated to America and the Plymouth Colony in 1628 where Samuel was born. Later settled at Windsor,CT. where Joyce and Nathaniel were born. BIOGRAPHY: Ran a ferry called 'Bissells Ferry'. He was a Capt. of the Troops in King Phillips War, 1676 and Horse Troop in 1677 until his death. CONFLICT: Wife in two WFT 9-1500 and 9-608 is noted to have been Mary Drake not Elizabeth Thompson, Also another Wife is Listed as Abigail Moore.
