  Barbara Jean Wiebe (Wehofer) was born June 4, 1954 in Alpena, Michigan to her parents William Leroy Wehofer and Joyce Marilyn Kemnitz, as their first child. Barbara grew up primarily in Maryvale, Arizona but the family also lived for shorter periods in Tucson, Arizona; Alpena, Michigan and Santa Ana, California. As the eldest of four children, she was often the caretaker of the 3 younger siblings while both of her parents were away working in their Bakery or other jobs. She attended Arizona State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree and later met William "Bill" Wiebe in their workplace. Bill and Barb were married in January 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. Bill's work took them to Colorado, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Texas, Georgia, and finally in retirement to Hilton Head Island for the past 10 years. Barbara attended Grace Community Church on Hilton Head Island. Her greatest passion was studying God's Word and spending time with Him in prayer. She loved the Lord and took every opportunity to share that love with others. She also enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking, hiking, walking, bicycling and walks on the beach. Recently, she battled breast cancer, which was discovered 4 years ago. However, she lost that battle on March 16, 2025 when she passed away at the age of 70 on Hilton Head Island with her loving husband and family members surrounding her including her sister Lois and brother Arnie. She is now in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Praise God! She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Wiebe, her sister Lois Ann Carney (and husband Jim from Buderim, Australia), her brother Arnold "Arnie" Paul Wehofer (and wife Kay from Twin Falls, Idaho) and Charles "Chuck" Richard Wehofer (and wife Fay from Mesa, Arizona).
