Born April 28, 1934 to Albert and Edna (Hasse) Kemnitz in Alpena, she was raised in Herron, Michigan. On August 21, 1954, she married Jack High in Herron. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Lincoln, and of its Ladies Aid, where she had served as president. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, was a great cook and made exceptional cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, and camping.
