Stephen passed away April 22, 1814 in Springfield Township, Ross, Ohio, United States.
We know by tax and deed records of Hardy County, West Virginia (formerly Hampshire County, Virginia) that Stephen Ross lived in that county between 1787 and 1807. Then he and his family moved to Springfield Township, Ross County, Ohio, where he died in 1814. His burial location may be on his farm but is unknown.
He married Elizabeth Crose in the mid 1760's in Virginia, and she is the sister of Michael Crose.
