  Biography Charlie was born in 1892. Charles Raymond was adopted by Lothario Fernando McAnulty, his birth name may be Clemens. His mother died at birth and was a Cherokee Indian. He made a saddle for the governor of Wyoming. Had a leather shop in Las Vegas. He made belts for the Native American Crow women and his wife Alta dyed the flowers on the belts green and red. His son Bill said he would take silverware and cast it into a flower or whatever he needed to use for his leather work.
