Michael (Fish Buyer and Cooper) and Nancy had 9 children: Mary (Dec 1864) married Pad O'Sullivan and Mary Harrington (Trokirre), Knockrua West; *Johnny (June 1867) settled down in the home place and married Jude (or Julia) Lowney, daughter of Denis Lowney and Mary O'Sullivan (Shearhig), Clogheen; Margaret (May 1869) went to Butte, Montana and married Mike O'Neill (uncle of Jack O'Neill), son of Jer O'Neill and Kit Murphy, Gour, Castletownbere Parish; Honora (May 1871) died young; Brigid (Feb 1873) - mother of Jer O'Leary etc. of Lyre - went first to Butte, Montana and married Mike O'Leary (Reen), son of Seamus O'Leary (Reen), and Honora O'Leary, Clogheen. Mike and Brigid returned and settled down in Lyre, Rossmacowen, where they bought a farm once owned by the O'Brien family; the second Honora (June 1874), Catherine (Dec 1875), Julia (Dec 1877), Ellen (Nov. 1880). Three of these girls died young.
