In the 1920 census, John (age 31) was the married head of household in Iowa, Iowa, United States.[1] John was a partner in Hittle & Peterson Hardware in Farnhamville, Iowa. His spouse Elizabeth Marie Magdalena Meyer is also referred to in the memorial as well as their two sons; Melbourne John Peterson born 1916 and Russell Meyer Peterson born 1921. He passed away in 1924 at age 35 from "Heart Bloc" "Instantly".
