  Thomas was baptised on 24 September 1702 at Ingleby Greenhow, Yorkshire, "Thomas fil. Johannis Hunt : Greenhow".[1] He married Easter Alderson on 13 January 1721 at Muker.[2] Thomas died in 1762 and was buried on 20 January 1762 at Muker Chapel, Thomas Hunt of Smarber.[3] "Listed as father in the baptisms of several children in the Muker church records. He usually is recorded as "Tho" or "Thos".[4] This profile is a collaborative work-in-progress. Can you contribute information or sources? Profile adopted by Herman-2181 on 1 February 2021 Research notes Thomas's wife has been entered as Mary Twaites, but I cannot find any source to connect to the Sheffield marriage 30 March 1725. There are two Thomas Hunts born in Sheffield 1697 and 1701, and a Mary Thwaites born 1700, who are probably the first candidates for that marriage as Sheffield is quite a distance away. Also, Sheffield Indexers have indexed the marriage as Thomas Hunter not Hunt.[5] The marriage to Easter Alderson in Muker is the right place and time, and he had a daughter named Easter several years later. Easter did not die until 1783. There is a burial of Easter Hunt of Winterings (where son Henry was living) on 15 October 1783 at Muker, date of death 14 October 1783. Fathers were given in the register at this time, whatever the person's age or marital status, and her father is shown as James Alderson, miner. The age at death has been indexed as 96, but the figure has been altered in the register and could also be 86, which is reasonably close to her birth date.[6] However, there may have been two Thomas Hunts having children in the Muker area. Elizabeth is born before the marriage to Easter, and some of the children show Thomas Hunt of Blades and some show Thomas Hunt of Barf End.
