  Find A Grave bio: Knight de jure Lord Ingham, of Ingham, Norfolk, Bedale, Yorkshire and North Moreton, Berkshire, Sheiff of Norfolk and Suffolk, Knight of the Shire for Yorkshire. Son and heir to Sir Miles Stapleton, Lord Ingham and Ela Ufford. Grandson of Sir Edmund Stapleton and Sibyl de Pierrepoint. Husband of Cecily Bardolf, daughter of Sir William Bardolf and Agnes de Poynings. They had two sons, Sir Miles and Brian. Sir Brian was at the Battle of Agincourt on 25 October 1415, captured and held prisoner for the ransom of 3,000 marks. Their monumental brass plaque at Ingham Priory is now lost.
