He passed away in 1784.[1] Samuel married Margaret Ann Smiley on 19 Aug 1739 in Augusta, Virgnia and together they had 8 children; Elinor Jane born 1740, Samuel born 1742, Walter born 1744, Moses born 1745, Matthew bor 1751, Robert born 1752, William born 1755 and last John born 1756.
