  Biography Margaret was born in 1720. She passed away in 1804. At this juncture I am showing the parents are Walter Smiley born 1699-1751 and mother as Margaret Ann (unk) - not proven but certainly not as stated with others with different Bohoup iterations that aren't possible. Margaret married Samuel D. Lindsay on 19 Aug 1739 in Augusta, Virginia and together they had 8 children; Elinor Jane born 1740, Samuel born 1742, Walter born 1744, Moses born 1745, Matthew born 1751, Robert born 1752, William born 1755 and last John born 1756. Research Not to be confused with Margaret Ann Buhoup born 100 years later married to a different Samuel D. Lindsay, died in Pittsburgh, PA. Read the Pittsburgh Newspaper death notice for that Margaret Ann Lindsay 74 years old who died on 3 Feb 1905. A lot of confusion and mis-identified ancestors have been misplaced on this woman. There is speculation her mother Margaret who was married to Walter Smiley, remarried to a another John A. Bohoup and Margaret Ann Smiley as his adopted child may have adopted the name Buhoup - but at this juncture this can't be proven. Please advise if you find this true or disproved. Jim Carney.
