  Kingsley News Times: Feb. 5, 1976 Mrs. Roy Bierman, 82, formerly of Marcus, died Sunday, Feb 1 in a nursing home at Belmond. Mrs. Bierman, the former Elsie Treptow, was born Nov. 30, 1894, at Kingsley. She was married Aug. 27, 1917, at Sioux City. She lived in the Kingsley-Pierson-Marcus area all her life until moving to Belmond five years ago. Mr. Bierman preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Merlin, of Belmond, a daughter, Mrs, Lois Piper of El Paso, Tex., four sisters, Mrs. Clara Herbold of Pierson; Mrs. Agnes Staben of Sioux City; Mrs. Manago Brower of Taylorville, Ill., and Mrs. Esther Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo., and two brothers, Paul of Pierson and Herman of Kingsley
