  uregen Bock. Juergen Bock, age 83, died at his home in Gladbrook March 23. He was born in Holstein, Germany, and came to this country in 1868. A year later he married Miss Margaretha Stange. Nine children blessed their union, eight having preceded the parents in death. Mr. Bock was a successful farmer at Remsen, Plymouth county until 1903 when he moved to Gladbrook. His wife died last November. Bock leaves his son, Emil, of Belmont, Iowa and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carl Bock of Remsen, Iowa, and two grandchildren. – The Tama News Herald, Tama Iowa, Thursday, April, 1, 1926, page 2. Also -- John Bock Died Tuesday. John Bock of Gladbrook, died Tuesday afternoon at his home following an illness due to his advanced age. Mr. Bock was about eighty years old. He had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Bock died last fall, and Mr. Bock is survived by one son, Emil, of Belmond. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the German Evangelical church in Gladbrook, and burial will be made in Maple Hills cemetery.
