The entire family arrived in the USA March 30, 1870 and after a brief stay in Detroit they settled in Alpena, Michigan. Unfortunately his wife died about four months later. Wife: Maria A Hanner 1826 – 1870 and mother of his children: 2nd Wife: Clara Reichle 1842-1891 no children together.
