    • Per Genealogical Abstracts from Reported Deaths - The Nashville Christian Advocate 1857-1860:

      Barbary Cox wife of Col. Phineas Cox, died Warren Co., Ky. recently; "last child" of Capt. Frederick Stump; aged about 96 years. A widow.

      Parents of: Nancy, Rosanna, Dorcas, Winaford, Narcissa, Elizabeth & Sarah.

      Barbara Stump Cox applied for a widow's pension based on Phineas Cox Revolutionary War service. In the pension affidavit Barbara states she and Phineas were married at Fort Nashboro before there was "much government" and due to their first child, William W. Cox, birth year being 1784, Barbara believed their marriage year was 1783.
