  Biography Research Notes It has been written that the maiden name for Elizabeth Ingalls was Barrett, also spelled Barrit.[citation needed] A christening record is said to be the proof for this name, and while there is indeed a christening record for an Elizabeth Barrit, there is no proof that this is the same Elizabeth. The source of this information is said to be the England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906.[1] Parents are not listed in this christening record.
