Notes - Hamon Pecche was the son of Gilbert Peche and Alice FitzWalter, he was a minor at his father's death and his custody and marriage were granted to Hugh de Boues. He reached his majority in time to take part with his family (the de Clares) in the baronial rebellion against King John. He took part, under the Earl Marshal, in the Welsh campaign of 1223 and in 1225, he had a grant to maintain himself in the king's service. He had protection in 1232 to visit his lands abroad and was serving in the Welsh Marches in 1233.
