  Biography Lydia was born in 1717 in New Castle County, Delaware, the older of two known children and the only known daughter of Stephenson Hollingsworth and an Ann Robison. On 11 October 1735, Lydia married John Ross at Hopewell Friends Monthly Meeting in Orange (later Frederick) County, Virginia,[1][2][3][4] and they had five known children, all sons: Stephen Ross, b1749 David Ross, b 1742 Jonathan Ross Alexander Ross John B. Ross John died on 18 January 1748 and on 1 September 1750 she married William J. Jolliffe, Jr., in Hopewell Friends Monthly Meeting, in Frederick County, Virginia. They had four known children, two sons and two daughters: John Jolliffe, b1751 Phebe Joliffe b1752-c1754. Gabriel Joliffe, 1755 Phebe II Joliiffe, b1758 Lydia died of unknown causes when she was about forty-two, on 30 December 1759 in Frederick County, Virginia. Sources ?
