  Thomas Whitbred, the son of Christopher Whitbred and Maude French had two sons named Thomas, both by his first wife Dennys Burles (als Sponer). The first was baptised in September 1541 and buried in October 1541 at White Notley, Essex. The second was baptised in 1543 at White Notley. Both are recorded in the Register of the parish Church. The second Thomas is recorded as married to Elizabeth White. They had a son William, baptised 1570 (Church Register) Their father, Thomas Whitbred, died in 1599 (White Notley Register) Christopher Whitbread is described as 'of Fambridge'. He died in 1543 (White Notley Register). Maude French is described as having been 'of Stebbing'. She died in 1554 (White Notley Register).
