- Will dated and left son John executor. In it, besides to John and his three children he gives to five daughters of d. MAYNARD (dec.) ?10 each as they came to 16 years of age; to the children of son Thomas (dec.) ?10 apeace, as they come to age 18 years of age, as also to the four youngest of them an additional legacy; to his grand child Simon EYRE ?6 per annum until he came to age 18 years to help him to learning in the tongues, &c. to daughter Elizabeth FERNSIDE, wife of John FERNSIDE, a resident dev. to be divided between her three children. To daughter Hannah, if she weds, come to New England, such a piece of plate, but all his debts in Old England and ?50 out of his rents in Ashford, or as he spelt it, "Eshitisford," to son Confort, and his heirs, the house and lands at Ashford; and to daughter Elizabeth the land on which her present dwelling house is built, from the highway back to the mill pond, and to his daughter-in-law, widower of Thomas.
