  Please be aware there were 3 Elkanah Phelps' living in the Quebec Lower Canada area in the early 1880s. This Elkanah was 1 of 4 brothers that moved to the area (originally from CT, then through VT). Please see the description below from a genealogy book printed in 1899. Elkanah Wilcox Phelps, b.
