  REFN: 705 The only information known about William Corey is written in the "Co rey Family Bible", which shows his year of birth as 1827 and his date of de ath as June 8, 1884. It shows a marriage to Cordelia Spelman, however, no da te of marriage is shown. It appears that the three illegitimate children of Co rdelia Spelman were raised with the "Corey" surname and would be considered s tep-children of William Corey. The burial location of William Corey and Cord elia Spelman is unknown. They are not buried in the Corey site at the Granby Cemetery. Whether the "Corey" children knew of their background is uncertain as none of the Corey descendants were aware of the "Cook" genealogy.
