- George Starks and Mary Scoles. They were married in 1791 in North Carolina. George was born about 1760 we think in North Carolina. Mary was born about 1770 in Halifax County, North Carolina. Her parents were John Scoles and Penelope. We do not know the parents of George Starks. George and Mary had 11 children:
