"This location of Lambeth Mill Creek was the North-bank of the Catawba River, South of Davidson's Creek and North of Beatty's Ford. Moses White was on the North, Wm. Reese on the South, Mail's Creek north on Catawba River, Young's Creek, nearby. Young and Nails were neighbors of George Clayton. Here, he and his family lived. The will of George Clayton probated in Rowan Co. 1786 bequeathed this land to his 2 sons, George Jr., and Lambert Clayton. They sold it 931791 to James Connor of Mecklenburg Co., N C (Book A., p 568. Iredell Co., N C)
