    This record indicates: Thaddeus was vestryman, St. Mary's Parish, Lancaster Co. VA 1771-1776 (episcopal); church warden 1771-1776. In 1740 his father patented 1,235 acres in Loudon Co for Thaddeus; one source shows 1,220 acres instead. Land on Goose Creek, Loudon Co. Note: he had cousin Thaddeus b. about same time who m. Ann Chinn and d. in 1788 per A. L. Keith.
