- Patrick, sixth Lord Oliphant, was three
times married, first to Elizabeth Cheyne of Esslemont,
who died 1616 the only child of this marriage was
Lilias ; secondly, to Margaret, only daughter of Menzies
of Pitfoddel, by whom he had one daughter, Margaret ;
thirdly, about 1643, to Mary, third daughter of James
Crichton of Fendraught. The children of this marriage
were four sons and two daughters : Charles, seventh
Lord Oliphant, Laurence, William, ninth lord, Francis,
the father of the tenth lord, Elizabeth, and Anna.
